The MMJCCM is looking for a resourceful and tech-savvy Development Operations Director to support our fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for someone with experience in nonprofit development who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to grow. You'll work closely with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Donor Relations + Events Director, and other JCC team to streamline operations, manage donor data, support campaign execution, and work with exploring systems to optimize data exchange.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement data management strategies to track fundraising activities and donor engagement.
  • Analyze fundraising data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership and the board regarding fundraising performance and operational metrics.
  • Coordinate closely with the finance department to ensure alignment of fundraising goals with budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasting related to revenue from donations, grants, and events.
  • Monitor and reconcile fundraising income and expenditures to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist with monitoring Centers' fundraising activities
  • Prepare all donor acknowledgment letters and ensure prompt response to donations and inquiries
  • Keep tracking system for regular contact with donors
  • Keep accurate and current donor histories of giving, updating and providing reports for donor engagement.
  • Design and implement operational systems and processes to enhance efficiency within the development team.
  • Lead the integration of technology and tools to streamline data management and reporting processes, especially where Daxko issues arise
  • Train and support staff in understanding and using data effectively for decision-making and strategy development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development operations, with a focus on data analysis and finance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively with finance and accounting departments, including understanding financial reports and budgeting processes.
  • Fluency in fundraising databases and software (e.g., Daxko, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce), as well as Microsoft Excel and Google docs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Team player and collaborative personality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with donor databases or CRM systems
  • Familiarity with Jewish communal organizations or cultural institutions
  • Interest in growing into a more strategic fundraising or operations role

COMPENSATION

This position offers an annual compensation of $75,000-$95,000.
