Job Title: Development Associate

Reports to: Chief Development Officer

Date: February 2023

The Development Associate reports to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and is an integral member of the Development team. The Development Associate plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the department and directly supports the Chief Development Officer. The Associate assists in improving the various systems that support the department in achieving its philanthropic revenue goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide regular administrative support to the Chief Development Officer
  • Liaising between departments on behalf of the CDO
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Development Operations manage all revenue processing
  • In partnership with the Director of Development Operations manage mailing and donor data
  • In partnership with the Director of Development Operations provide daily and weekly reports on all revenue streams.
  • Manage the acknowledgment process for all gifts - ensuring timely and error-free communications.
  • Prepare donor gift invoices and gift commitment forms.
  • Assist with donor research and prospecting as needed.
  • Assist with event logistics, both on and off site.
  • Oversee invoices and expense reports and reimbursements for the CDO and, when necessary, the Development team
  • Provide overall administrative support to the Development team including use of the database.
  • Serve as a database superuser for report running, contact updating, and management of moves management system
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

  • College degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of prior and relevant work experience
  • non-exempt position

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 including benefits
