Job Overview:
The Marlene Meyerson JCC of Manhattan seeks a VP of Digital Products in a high-impact, strategic, yet hands-on role focused on the technical enablement and implementation of the JCC's consumer products and experience.This role will evaluate and manage solutions to both drive internal efficiencies and create an enhanced, frictionless customer journey through platforms and technologies. With a passion for working in a mission-driven environment, the right candidate will delight in satisfying our community and will own the vision, using data to guide direction, to chart a path towards delivering it.
The JCC aspires to improve the ease of use to the entire community to take part in its membership, registerable programs, classes, camps, events, and fundraisers.This role will understand transactional best practices and customer acquisition methods in creating a roadmap for database management, CRM, SEO and web experiences that deliver a seamless user experience.
Reporting to the Chief Engagement Officer, this newly created position will further customer centricity across all of the JCC by being an experienced leader who can convey a technical plan to internal stakeholders.
The VP of digital Products will lead a team of web and database resources and analytical systems, and manage or develop relationships with external engineers, UX/UI, SEO agencies, and will collaborate with peers across Marketing, Finance, Design, Registration, Membership, Program creation, and IT to balance long term strategic objectives with day-to-day priorities. S/he will engage with business leaders to build innovative solutions, providing leadership and guidance.
Experience aligning internal and external stakeholders on opportunities, priorities, and execution will be key to success.
This is a full time, in-person position, with flexibility for some remote days.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Experience managing, developing, and motivating a team, and creating or promoting a customer-centric culture.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to understand the objectives and customer benefits of new product features, to deliver on time and on budget.
- Build strong relationships with peers and key business stakeholders through continuous engagement. Be a thought leader and partner.
- Experience leading teams through a changing environment.
- Develop resourcing plans for projects and ensure they are seen through
- Work to establish a culture and practice of using data to inform decision making.
- Create, own, and advocate for a digital roadmap and associated budgets
- Educate and evangelize process with senior leadership
- Participate in and partner on projects outside of the digital roadmap as a subject matter expert
Knowledge and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, application development, and microservices
- 10+ years experience managing database, CMS, ecommerce/transactional, and consumer facing web products
- 5+ years in cloud modernizations solutions
- Experience leading the agile execution of technical engagements including building Proof of Concepts, re-engineering applications, and delivery
- Comfortable with project and workflow management practices and tools
- Bonus working with organizational workflow tools like Asana or Monday.com
- Proven track record of successful development and delivery of digital platforms - ecommerce, software, data analytics, web-based information management, and the development of actionable strategic insights.
- Experience with Web Product Hosting and Development (i.e. Drupal, Wordpress)
- Experience with Database Management and CRM/ESPs (i.e. Salesforce, Personify)
- Experience leading the modernization of legacy technologies to leverage distributed platforms (Cloud, API frameworks, etc) while concurrently driving business benefits/value.
- Knowledge of best practices for SEO, UI, UX
- Integration and Analysis using Google Analytics (and GA4 expectations)
- A concrete understanding of working in Secure environments
- Successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong, in-depth understanding of current technology trends.
